Kepemimpinan Transformasional Kepala Madrasah dalam Membangun Budaya Organisasi Islami

The quality of madrasahs in Indonesia still faces various classic problems such as limited facilities, low teacher competence, and weak institutional management. One of the key factors determining the progress of a madrasah is the leadership of the madrasah principal. This study aims to analyze how transformational leadership of madrasah principals contributes to building an Islamic organizational culture, as well as to formulate a strategic model for developing Islamic organizational culture based on transformational leadership. This research employs a library research method with a qualitative-descriptive approach. Primary data sources include the Qur'an, Hadith, and relevant classical Islamic texts. Secondary data sources were obtained from scientific journals, books, and research reports on Islamic education management, transformational leadership, and organizational culture published between 2015 and 2025. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis with data reduction, presentation, and verification stages. The main findings of this study indicate that the four dimensions of transformational leadership idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration can be directed to cultivate Islamic values such as honesty (sidq), trustworthiness (amanah), deliberation (syura), justice ('adl), and social care. Implementing these dimensions in madrasahs requires role modeling from the principal, inspirational vision communication, courage to challenge old assumptions that hinder change, and individual attention to each teacher and staff member. Without adequate system support and long-term consistency, efforts to build an Islamic organizational culture will hardly succeed. This research contributes to the development of Islamic education management theory while providing practical guidance for madrasah principals, supervisors, and policymakers at the Ministry of Religious Affairs
