The development of an Islamic education work plan in both schools and madrasas requires a systematic and collaborative approach to ensure alignment with long-term institutional goals. This study aims to analyze the formulation, implementation, and effectiveness of Islamic education work plans by examining how schools and madrasas design short-term and long-term programs that support the improvement of Islamic educational quality. Using a qualitative descriptive method, data were collected through document analysis, observations, and in-depth interviews with school principals, teachers, and education committee members. The findings reveal that an effective work plan is characterized by participatory planning, clear performance indicators, and consistent alignment with the vision of Islamic education development. Furthermore, the active involvement of teachers and school committees significantly strengthens program implementation, ensuring that each activity runs according to mutually agreed-upon guidelines. The study concludes that a structured and collaboratively developed work plan contributes to achieving educational objectives more optimally, effectively, and efficiently. Strengthening coordination among stakeholders and improving administrative capacity remain key factors in sustaining successful implementation
