Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

EJORI: Educational Journal of Indonesia is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and strictly adheres to the ethical guidelines set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). All parties involved in the publication process authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher are expected to act ethically and responsibly to ensure the integrity and quality of scholarly publications.

1. Duties of Authors

  1. Authors must ensure that their manuscripts are original, free from plagiarism, and have not been published or submitted elsewhere.
  2. Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given. All sources used in the research should be appropriately cited.
  3. Authors must accurately present their research findings and discuss their significance objectively, without falsification or data manipulation.
  4. All authors listed in the manuscript must have made a significant contribution to the research and agree to its submission and publication.
  5. Authors are responsible for disclosing any potential conflict of interest and acknowledging sources of financial or institutional support.
  6. When errors or inaccuracies are discovered in published work, authors should promptly notify the editor to retract or correct the paper.

2. Duties of Editors

  1. Editors are responsible for deciding which articles should be published based on academic merit, relevance, and originality.
  2. Editors must ensure a fair and impartial review process, maintaining confidentiality and avoiding any conflict of interest.
  3. Editors evaluate manuscripts solely on their intellectual content, without regard to race, gender, religious belief, or institutional affiliation.
  4. Editors must take appropriate action when ethical complaints are raised regarding submitted or published papers.

3. Duties of Reviewers

  1. Reviewers assist the editors in making editorial decisions and help authors improve their manuscripts through constructive feedback.
  2. Reviewers must treat manuscripts as confidential documents and must not use the content for personal advantage.
  3. Reviews should be conducted objectively, with clear arguments supporting their evaluations.
  4. Reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest and decline review assignments where such conflicts exist.

4. Duties of the Publisher

  1. The publisher, Yayasan Pendidikan dan Sosial Madania Nganjuk, Indonesia ensures that all publication practices of EJORI are managed ethically and transparently.
  2. The publisher cooperates with editors and authors to maintain academic integrity and take corrective actions if ethical issues arise, such as plagiarism or data falsification.
