AUTHOR GUIDELINES

EJORI: Educational Journal of Indonesia

1. General Information

EJORI: Educational Journal of Indonesia publishes scholarly articles focusing on education in the Indonesian context, covering various levels from early childhood to higher education. The journal accepts original research articles, conceptual papers, and literature reviews written in English or Indonesian.

EJORI terbit dua kali setahun (Mei dan November), dan semua artikel yang diterbitkan bersifat open access di bawah lisensi Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0).

2. Manuscript Submission

  • Manuscripts must be submitted online via OJS at https://lptnunganjuk.com/ojs/index.php/ejori
  • The manuscript must be original, unpublished, and not under review
  • Each submission will undergo a double-blind peer review
  • Authors are encouraged to use reference management tools such as Mendeley or Zotero following APA 7th Edition citation style.

3. Manuscript Structure

Articles must follow the official EJORI template and be written in Calibri Light 12, single-spaced. The maximum length is 15–20 pages including tables, figures, and references.

Structure:

  1. Title – concise, informative, and relevant to the manuscript content (Calibri Light 14 Bold).
  2. Author’s Name(s) and Affiliation(s) – include department, institution, country, and corresponding author’s email.
  3. Abstract – written in English and Indonesian, 150–200 words, describing objectives, methods, results, and implications.
  4. Keywords – 3–5 terms written in lowercase and separated by commas.
  5. Introduction – presents the background, research problem, relevant studies, research gap, novelty, and objectives.
  6. Research Method – describes design, participants, instruments, data collection, and data analysis (depending on the research type).
  7. Result and Discussion – present findings supported by tables/figures; interpret results with theoretical and empirical references.
  8. Conclusion – summarize main findings, contributions, implications, and recommendations for future research.
  9. References – must follow APA 7th Edition and be written consistently.

5. Tables and Figures

  • Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively (Table 1, Figure 1, etc.).
  • Table titles are placed above the table; figure titles are placed below the figure.
  • Use clear, high-quality images or graphics that are easily readable.
  • Example:
    • Table 1. Teacher Professional Development Program
    • Figure 1. Lecturer Quality Coaching

6. Citation and Reference

  • Follow the APA 7th Edition
  • All sources cited in the text must appear in the References list and vice versa.
  • Example:
    • In-text citation: (Moleong, 2016) or (Creswell & Creswell, 2018).
    • Reference list example:

Creswell, J. W., & Creswell, J. D. (2018). Research design: Qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods approaches (5th ed.). SAGE Publications.

7. Plagiarism Policy

  • Manuscripts must be free from plagiarism.
  • Similarity index should not exceed 20%, verified through Turnitin or equivalent software.

8. Review Process

  • All submitted manuscripts are reviewed through a double-blind peer review system by at least two reviewers.
  • The editorial board may request revisions before final acceptance.
  • The final decision rests with the Editor-in-Chief.

9. Publication Ethics

EJORI adheres to the ethical standards of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Authors must ensure:

  • Originality and data integrity.
  • No plagiarism, fabrication, or falsification.
  • Proper acknowledgment of all sources.
  • Disclosure of potential conflicts of interest.

10. Copyright and Open Access / Hak Cipta dan Akses Terbuka

  • All published articles are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0).
  • Authors retain copyright and grant EJORI the right of first publication.
  • Readers may freely access, distribute, and reproduce articles with proper citation.
