Learning media is one of the important components in the learning process of Islamic Religious Education (PAI). The use of appropriate learning media can assist teachers in delivering material more effectively and efficiently, so that learning objectives can be achieved optimally. However, in practice, many teachers have not yet utilized learning media optimally, both in terms of selection and usage. This causes the learning process to be less engaging and results in low student learning motivation. This study aims to describe the selection of learning media, the use of learning media, the benefits of learning media, and the functions of learning media in Islamic Religious Education learning. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach. Data were collected from various sources such as books, scientific journals, and previous research findings relevant to the research theme. Data analysis techniques were carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the selection of learning media in PAI must be adapted to learning objectives, student characteristics, subject matter, and environmental learning conditions. The use of learning media can increase learning motivation, clarify the material, enhance learning interaction, and help students understand religious concepts more concretely. Learning media also have various functions, including educational functions, motivational functions, communication functions, and learning efficiency functions. Therefore, the use of learning media in PAI learning is very important to improve the quality of both the process and learning outcomes of students
