This article examines the philosophy of Islamic education through an integrative historical and philosophical approach. The main contribution of this paper lies in its effort to construct a framework of thought that connects the educational practices of early Islam with their philosophical foundations. Islamic education is understood as a system rooted in three main pillars: ontology, epistemology, and axiology. Ontologically, Islamic education is inseparable from the nature of humanity and divine reality, as Allah as al-‘Alīm (the All-Knowing) is the source of knowledge that distinguishes Islamic education from secular education systems. Epistemologically, Islamic education recognizes the bayani (textual), burhani (rational), and irfani (intuitive) approaches, so that the process of acquiring knowledge does not rely solely on rational-empirical dimensions but also on revelation and intuition. Axiologically, Islamic education is directed toward forming righteous individuals who understand divine values and practice them in life. Thus, the spiritual, theoretical, and practical values in Islamic education are integrated to lead humanity toward the highest reality, which is God. This article enriches the study of contemporary Islamic educational philosophy through a systematic, historical, and philosophical approach.
