From the phenomena identified in the Rejomulyo community, religious practices can be grouped into three social religious categories: Abangan, Santri, and Priyayi. The Abangan characteristics are evident through continued belief in animistic supernatural powers, performance of traditional salvation rituals (slametan), and adherence to ancestral Kejawen teachings. The existence of Islamic boarding schools indicates the Santri group, while the presence of teachers and employees represents the Priyayi class. Religious Education Institutions function to encourage the growth of religious awareness in society. These institutions represent relatively fixed organizational forms based on behavioral patterns, roles, and relationships that bind individuals with formal authority. Descriptive research reveals that most Rejomulyo residents still practice Abangan rituals as described in Clifford Geertz's studies in the Pare area. The origins of these traditions remain unknown, as current generations simply inherit and practice ancestral traditions. Amidst the developing environment of Religious Education Institutions, people still adhere to old values that strengthen identity and personality. Javanese life philosophies like ojo dumeh (be introspective) and tansah eling (always remember life's purpose) provide important guidelines. Some traditions conflict with Islamic beliefs while others support Islamic teachings, an unavoidable consequence of the historical arrival of Islam in the archipelago that led to cultural and religious syncretism
