Abstract

The training on scientific writing for elementary school and madrasah ibtidaiyah teachers in Kumalasa Village stems from the structural problem of low academic culture at the basic education level. Epistemologically, teachers are often positioned merely as curriculum implementers rather than knowledge producers. In fact, the quality of education is determined not only by classroom pedagogical practices but also by the reflective capacity and intellectual productivity of educators. This community service activity employed a qualitative approach, which included needs identification, delivery of material on research methodology and scientific article writing techniques, hands-on practice, and a writing-task-based evaluation. Analytically, this training was not merely a transfer of technical skills but a cultural intervention aimed at building scientific awareness. The results showed an improvement in conceptual understanding of the structure of scientific articles, research methods, and publication ethics. More importantly, there was a shift in attitude from resistance to readiness to write as part of professional responsibility
