Abstract

WTB Village (Wisata Taman Betet) in Nganjuk has natural, cultural, and local wisdom assets that can be developed into a creative tourism destination. Creative-economy-based tourism development aims to improve community welfare through local MSMEs, cultural attractions, and educational activities. This study applies a Community Based Tourism (CBT) approach with three main pillars: (1) managing Taman Betet as a creative activity space, (2) strengthening local MSMEs based on innovation and cultural heritage, and (3) simple digital promotion through social media and local marketplaces.Initial implementation results indicate that creative management of Taman Betet can increase community income by IDR 5–15 million per month, depending on visitor numbers and sales of creative products. Educational activities and creative workshops boost community participation by 35%, while digital promotion expands tourism reach by 200%. This study demonstrates that small-scale creative-economy development in rural tourism can significantly enhance income and community empowerment in WTB Village
