Optimalisasi Budaya Literasi dan Kerukunan Siswa melalui Tangga Literasi dan Poster Lagu Edukatif di SD Muhammadiyah 4 Pekanbaru

Abstract

Literacy culture is an important aspect in improving the quality of education, especially in elementary schools. However, students' reading interest in Indonesia remains low, so innovative efforts are needed to foster reading habits from an early age. This community service activity aims to increase students' literacy interest while instilling the value of harmony through school environment-based literacy media, namely the literacy staircase and educational song posters, as learning tools that are attractive and easily accessible. The implementation method uses a participatory and educational approach by involving teachers and students as partners, through the stages of needs identification, program planning, implementation, and evaluation. Implementation is carried out through literacy socialization, installation of literacy staircase stickers in school areas, and installation of educational song posters in each classroom, accompanied by mentoring for students and teachers. The results show that these media are able to attract students' attention to read and understand the literacy messages conveyed, as seen from their enthusiasm in reading motivational sentences and active participation in literacy activities. This activity also instills the values of togetherness, tolerance, and mutual respect. Overall, this activity contributes positively to creating a more literate, educational, and harmonious school environment through creative and contextual learning media
