Abstract

The implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) is one of the key strategies of the Merdeka Curriculum to foster students' character development and competencies through project-based learning. However, its implementation in elementary schools still faces several challenges, including students' limited experience in conducting creative projects and the need for structured mentoring to enhance active participation throughout the learning process. This community service program aimed to assist elementary school students in implementing creative projects based on P5 to strengthen character development and enhance creativity as essential twenty-first-century competencies. The program was conducted at SD Muhammadiyah 019 Bangkinang using a participatory mentoring approach, positioning students as the main actors throughout the activities. The implementation consisted of three stages: preparation, mentoring activities including orientation, idea exploration, project planning, product development, presentation, and reflection and evaluation. The results indicated that the mentoring program successfully increased students' active participation while improving collaboration, creativity, communication, independence, and critical thinking skills in accordance with the dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile. In addition to producing creative project outputs, the program provided meaningful, contextual, and collaborative learning experiences for students. This community service contributes to strengthening the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum through student-centered project-based learning and offers a mentoring model that can be adapted for future P5 implementation in elementary schools.
